We Believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God 2. Tim 3:15-17.

One God

The only true God is the Triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, three distinct persons in one divine being.

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. 2 Corinthians 13:14

God’s Word

The Bible is the holy, inspired word of God and is the sole, infallible standard for Christian faith and practice.

All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. II Timothy 3:16-17

Relevance of Scripture

What the Bible teaches is relevant for our times. It is a living word that speaks to our present reality and present needs.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. Hebrews 13:8

Faith Integration

As a Christian counselor, it continues to be my pleasure to integrate psychotherapy with spirituality in order to establish a well-rounded and holistic process of moving my clients to a place of wholeness.

Effective counseling addresses the body, mind, and spirit. The field of counseling has been slow in recognizing the need to address spiritual and religious concerns. There is now widespread interest in the role of spirituality in both assessment and treatment. Spiritual and religious matters are therapeutically relevant, ethically appropriate, and potentially significant topics for the practice of counseling in secular settings.

Religion and spirituality are often part of the client’s problem, but can also be part of the client’s solution. Because spiritual and religious values can play a major part in human life, spiritual values should be viewed as a potential resource in therapy rather than as something to be ignored. During the assessment process, it can be ascertained how certain beliefs and practices of the client can be a useful focal point for exploration.

Religious faith, or some form of personal spirituality, can be a powerful source of meaning and purpose. Counseling can help clients gain insight into the ways their core beliefs and values are reflected in their behavior. Clients may sometimes discover that they need to reexamine these values.

Christian Counseling Provides an Integrated Way to True Healing.

Is it possible that therapy and faith can co-exist with one another without one violating the other? The answer has to be “Yes.” It is through my faith that I have the ability to be a witness of the goodness, kindness, and hope of God, even when the individual cannot connect with their own faith. As a Christian counselor, I am privileged to be Christ’s witness in the therapist’s seat.

I am a Christian counselor and am proud of it. If would like to explore how Christian counseling can help you in your struggles, please reach out to me here.
